1.  Prior to breeding, the Stud Dog Owner will be provided with copies of the Bitch’s:

    a) OFA Clearances; Hips/Elbows/Heart (or corresponding registry)

    b) Normal eye report by ACVO within previous 12 months or  

        current CERF certificate

    c) Negative fecal, Brucellosis

    d) Current immunization record

    e) 3 generation pedigree

2.  If requested, the Stud Dog Owner will board the Bitch during the time of breeding. Every effort will be made to provide a safe and comfortable environment for her, and specific instructions will be carefully followed. However, under no circumstances will the Stud Dog Owner be legally or financially responsible for the Bitch’s actions, or in the event of her injury or loss. Uncontrollable or destructive behavior will be cause to return the Bitch to her Owner.

3.  The Bitch Owner will be responsible for any financial obligations incurred, but not limited to: veterinary visits, progesterone testing, board at $12 per day, (if Bitch is required to stay longer than 7 days), travel costs, collection kits, shipping, etc.  (Bitch owner understands that progesterone blood level testing is recommended for successful timing).

4.  A breeding fee of $150 will be due upon delivery of the Bitch to the Stud Dog.  The breeding fee is non-refundable. If no litter results from this breeding, there will be no further obligations to either party. If a litter of less than or equal to 3 live puppies, a fee of $150 per puppy will be required due upon submission of AKC application to register the litter. Should the litter result in 4 or more live puppies, the breeding fee of $150 will be applied to the balance of the stud fee. The submission to AKC should be no later than 2 weeks after the birth of the litter.

5.  The fee for the Stud Service is $1,000. Any other agreement will be stated in writing at the time this agreement is signed. The Stud Dog Owner will provide 2 live covers, or, 2 fresh collected inseminations, spaced 36-48 hours apart to insure maximum coverage, based on ovulation timing.

6.  The Owner of the Bitch agrees that all puppies, resulting from this breeding sold as pets, will be registered using the AKC Limited Registration option. Said puppies will also be sold on a spay/neuter agreement.
